Philips is showing off this magnificent 100-inch LCD TV at IFA in Berlin, making it the third over-100-inch TV that we've seen, behind the 100-inch LG LCD, and the Panasonic Plasma. (That's not counting the jumbotron-type stadium sets.) We loved the most recent Ambilight LCD we looked at, and this 100-inch version, based on all the same tech?like their pixel plus 3HD processing? shouldn't fail us. (925 clicks)

Maybe we're a little dense, but we're having a bit of a time trying to figure out why someone would plunk down $2,200 for a 160GB PlaysForSure enabled audio streaming device -- even one so sexy as NuVo's (no, not that Nuvo) new NV-M3, above. Granted, NuVo seems pretty proud about implementing PlaysForSure in a multi-zone system, something Sonos users have been waiting a while to get going, but for a substantially smaller price you could go with something a little more versatile, like a Media Center PC or an Xbox 360 or a long list of other devices that wouldn't only limit you to playing music, either.  (905 clicks)

If you're looking for a mobile projector with some halfway decent specs and a very reasonable price tag, take a gander at Toshiba's new TDP-T45U. The XGA DLP projector has a 2000:1 contrast ratio, 2500 ANSI lumen brightness, 6.6 pound weight, composite, component, S-Video, and two computer inputs (thanks -- they actually mean two VGA) for a $1,200 slim. The Xbox 360 hasn't been cracked per se, but the scene has made some pretty good progress since the first firmware hacks were released earlier in the year, the latest of which is the X360. Developed by Team Xecuter (think of them as the elder statesman of the Xbox scene), the X360 allows users to connect the Xbox 360's hard drive and DVD drive (the HITACHI-LG GDR-3120L drive only, right now) to a PC using a USB 2.0 connection. (1026 clicks)
